How Dozzi works
One of you gets up. The other one sleeps through it.
Dozzi Base is a small device that listens for your baby, and an app that decides which of you it wakes. Here is exactly what happens between the cry and the tap on your wrist.
The difference

What normally happens
The baby cries and every paired phone and watch in the house goes off at once. You both surface. Then comes the negotiation about whose turn it is — and you are both awake for it either way.
What Dozzi Base does
The alert goes to one caregiver. Silently. The other phone and the other watch are never touched — there is no buzz to sleep through, because nothing is sent to them.
That is the whole invention, and it is what U.S. Patent 12,446,836 covers.

Four ways to split the night
You pick the rule in the app, and you can change it whenever life changes.
Alternating
You take turns. Dozzi wakes one of you this time and the other one next time, automatically — so neither of you has to keep score or remember whose turn it was.
Schedule
You're on duty from 10 PM to 2 AM. Your partner takes 2 AM to 6 AM. Dozzi handles it automatically so there's no ambiguity and no negotiation.
Smart
Dozzi reads each parent's heart rate and movement against their own baseline — plus who's had less sleep and who answered last. The parent best positioned to wake up gets the notification — the other sleeps through.
All Caregivers
Sends alerts to everyone monitoring simultaneously. Choose it on the nights you want everyone woken together.
Setup
Three steps, once
STEP 1 Download the app
Install Dozzi on your iPhone and pair your Apple Watch. Both caregivers do this once, on their own phone.
STEP 2 Plug in your Dozzi Base
Set it on a shelf or dresser at least three feet from the crib, then put it on your Wi-Fi.
STEP 3 Choose how you'll split the night
Pick Smart, Alternating, Schedule or All Caregivers. Change it any time.

Privacy
The audio never leaves the room.
Dozzi Base listens with a microphone — but the listening and the deciding both happen on the device itself, in the nursery. The sound is analyzed as it arrives and discarded on the spot. What travels over your Wi-Fi is that a cry happened and how loud it was. Never the sound.
Analyzed on the deviceCry detection runs on your Dozzi Base, in the room. The sound itself is never shipped off somewhere else to be listened to or understood.
No audio is storedNo audio recordings exist — not on your Dozzi Base, not on our servers, not in a log.
No audio is streamedThere is no live listen-in feature, by design. That means there is no way for us, or for anyone else, to hear your house.
Optional add-on · Works with your Ring camera
Use a Ring camera to check on your nursery without picking up your phone.
Dozzi is audio-only. If you already have a Ring camera in the nursery, link it — and the alert on your wrist arrives with a still from the room. Usually that's enough to tell 'she's just rolling around' from 'someone needs to go in.' Want more than a still? Open your phone and stream the live feed.
Live video streams directly between your phone and Ring — it never passes through Dozzi's servers. $3/month, billed by Ring. Requires a Ring account and compatible camera, sold separately. Everything else Dozzi does works without it, at no recurring cost.

What Dozzi is not
Dozzi is not a medical device. It does not measure oxygen, pulse or breathing, and it is not designed to detect, diagnose, treat or prevent any medical condition, including SIDS.
It is a monitor that decides who to wake. If what you want is vitals monitoring, you want a different product — and we would rather tell you that here than after you have bought.
