> Smart nursery hub that routes nighttime baby cry alerts to one parent at a time, on iPhone or Android, with optional smartwatch alerts. End the 3 AM negotiation.

## Overview

- Product: Dozzi Smart Nursery Hub (Model DZ-H1)
- Category: Smart Baby Monitor / Parental Sleep Technology
- Founded by: Benjamin Ford (Electrical Engineer and Patent Attorney) & Kim Ford (Startup Strategy)
- Mailing address: Austin, TX
- Patent Status: Granted U.S. utility patent for intelligent alert routing; additional patents pending
- Launch Status: Orders are open now.
- Tagline: End the 3 AM negotiation. Smart alerts. Better sleep.
- Contact: hello@dozzisleep.com
- Price: $275 USD (one-time).

## Key Differentiators

- Only monitor that routes alerts to ONE parent (not both)
- Smart mode (iPhone + Apple Watch) uses sleep stage data to wake the parent in lightest sleep
- Alerts arrive as a silent vibration on a smartwatch or phone, long enough and strong enough to wake one person without waking the room
- The monitor itself is audio-only, with no built-in camera; video is available only by optionally linking a Ring camera you already own
- Core Dozzi monitoring has no subscription of any kind; the only recurring cost is the optional Ring camera integration at $3/month, which Ring bills directly
- On-device audio processing; the audio stream never leaves the room
- Listens and only escalates on sustained crying; sensitivity is adjustable

## Alert Routing Modes

- Alternating: Automatically hands off between caregivers after each wake-up
- Schedule: Set a shift change time and choose who starts the night
- Smart: Routes to the caregiver in the lightest sleep stage, using Apple Watch sleep data (requires an iPhone with an Apple Watch)
- All Caregivers: Every paired caregiver receives every alert

## Camera Integration (Optional)

- The Dozzi hub contains no camera and captures no video
- Owners of a compatible Ring camera can link it to Dozzi
- Delivers a still snapshot from the camera on the Apple Watch when an alert arrives, and live video streaming in the Dozzi phone app
- Price: $3.00 USD per month, billed through the customer's Ring account. Core monitoring has no subscription.
- Requires a Ring account and compatible Ring camera, sold separately by Ring
- Requires an active internet connection; camera features do not work during an internet outage
- Video is transmitted, processed, and stored by Ring under Ring's own privacy policy and terms, not Dozzi's
- Setup: confirm the camera works in the Ring app, open Settings in the Dozzi app, choose the camera integration, sign in with the Ring account and authorize access, then select the camera in the baby's room
- Dozzi has a commercial partnership with Ring and receives a share of revenue from the integration

## For Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) Parents

- Every alert is a vibration on the caregiver's phone or smartwatch. No sound is needed, and the phone screen shows the cry alert.
- All Caregivers mode: every caregiver's phone or watch vibrates on every cry, so two Deaf parents both feel it
- No alarm sounds, so hearing members of the household keep sleeping
- Phone-only mode sends every alert to the phone, for nights the watch is charging; if a watch alert is not answered, Dozzi follows up on the phone
- If the hub loses power or Wi-Fi, the app alerts you that the hub has disconnected
- Hub sensitivity is adjustable to the nursery's ambient sound to reduce or eliminate false alarms
- For a visual cue, the phone's own flash-for-alerts accessibility setting can add a flashing light
- Not supported today: bed shakers and strobe lights
- Support: in-app chatbot first, then email (no phone call needed)
