Straight answers
Does it work with my bed shaker or strobe light?
Not today. Dozzi sends its alerts to phones and smartwatches. If you use a bed shaker or flashing light now, tell us what you have. It shapes what we build next.
Will it go off for every little noise?
No. Dozzi alerts on sustained crying, not a single squeak or a passing car. You can also adjust the Base's sensitivity in the app to match your nursery's ambient sounds, which reduces or eliminates false alarms.
Can I get a flashing light too?
Yes, from your phone's own settings. On iPhone, turn on Flash for Alerts (Settings, Accessibility, Audio & Visual). On Android, turn on Flash notifications (Settings, Accessibility). Your phone then flashes as well as vibrates when an alert arrives.
Why not just use my phone's Sound Recognition?
Your phone's built-in sound recognition only hears what's near the phone, so the phone would have to stay in the nursery. The Dozzi Base listens in the nursery and alerts every caregiver's phone or watch, wherever they are in the house.
Do I need a smartwatch?
No. Your phone vibrates on its own. A watch is optional: Apple Watch Series 7 or newer with iPhone, or Wear OS 3 or newer with Android. Each caregiver can choose, so one of you can use a watch and the other only a phone.
What if my watch is charging?
Switch to phone-only mode in the app, and every alert vibrates your phone instead. Keep it somewhere you'll feel it at night. If you forget to switch, Dozzi still follows up on your phone when your watch doesn't respond.
Will the vibration actually wake me?
Everyone sleeps differently, so try it in your own home. You get 60 nights. If it isn't working for your house, send it back for a full refund, with return shipping on us.
What do I need to set it up?
A 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network, a power outlet, and a phone for each caregiver: iPhone (iOS 17 or newer) or Android (8.0 or newer). The Base sits on a shelf or dresser at least 3 feet from the crib.
What happens if the power or Wi-Fi goes out?
Dozzi alerts you that the Base has disconnected, so you know right away. Like most baby monitors, it needs power and Wi-Fi to work, and it reconnects on its own when they come back.
Is it a medical device?
No. Dozzi is a baby monitor that sends cry alerts to the people you choose. It doesn't track your baby's breathing or health.
