Dozzi User Manual

• Check that Bluetooth is on and you are within 10 feet.
• The light should be alternating red and green. If not, unplug the Base for 10 seconds and plug it back in.
• Close and reopen the Dozzi app, then try again.

• Double-check the password. It is case sensitive.
• Use a 2.4 GHz network. The Base can't join 5 GHz only networks.
• Move the Base closer to your router, or check that other devices are online.

Reset the Base (below), then set it up again in the app. Your partner will need a new invite code.

• Make sure notifications are on for Dozzi. On iPhone, turn on Critical Alerts too.
• On Android, open the Ready for tonight checklist in the app and fix anything it lists.
• Check that both the red and green lights on the Base are on, softly lit and steady.
• Keep your phone, and your watch if you use one, charged and connected.

This erases the Wi-Fi settings and caregiver list. Try unplugging and replugging first.

1. Press the green button. The light blinks green three times, then turns solid red.
2. While it is solid red, press the button again.
3. When it turns solid red a third time, press once more.
4. The light flashes green quickly, then alternates red and green. It is ready to set up again.

If you don't press while the light is red, the Base starts normally and nothing is erased.

WARNING: STRANGULATION HAZARD. Children have STRANGLED in cords. Keep this cord out of any child's reach. The Dozzi Base is supplied with a USB power cord that presents a strangulation hazard to infants and young children. Failure to follow these instructions can result in serious injury or death.

• Keep the cord MORE THAN 3 FEET (0.9 m) from any crib, bassinet, playpen, or other place a child sleeps or plays.
• Never place the Base in or attached to a crib, bassinet, playpen, or any sleep surface.
• Never extend the cord with an extension cord or any other cable.
• Inspect the cord regularly for damage, fraying, or wear. Stop using the product immediately if the cord is damaged.
• Always use the Base with the power adapter and cord supplied by Dozzi Sleep Systems LLC.

General safety

• For indoor use only. The Base is not waterproof. Do not submerge the Base, adapter, or cord in water.
• The Base is not a medical device. It is not intended to diagnose, treat, or prevent any medical condition, and it does not monitor breathing, oxygen, or vital signs.
• The Base is not a substitute for direct adult supervision of an infant or child. An alert means Dozzi heard crying. Silence does not mean your baby is safe; always check in person.
• Alerts only reach you if your phone, or your watch if you use one, is charged, connected, and set up with notifications on.
• Do not modify or attempt to repair the Base. Tampering may cause hazards and will void the warranty.

Place the Base on a flat, stable surface at least 3 feet (0.9 m) from any crib, bassinet, playpen, co-sleeper, or other place a child sleeps or plays, with the cord out of reach at all times.

• Good spots: a dresser, shelf, or bookcase in the nursery, 3 or more feet from the crib.
• Never: inside or attached to a crib, bassinet, or playpen; on the rail or frame of a sleep surface; anywhere a child can reach; anywhere the cord could drape toward the crib.
• Keep it away from heat sources, direct sunlight, and moisture.

Receiving alerts. The Base listens for crying and sends a silent alert to the on-duty caregiver's phone or paired watch (Apple Watch with iPhone, Wear OS with Android). Audio is processed on the Base and never leaves the room.

Sensitivity. In Settings, choose from Lowest to Highest. Higher catches quieter cries; lower ignores more household noise.

Caregivers. Up to 4 caregivers can share one Base. Each person uses their own Dozzi account and joins with a 6-digit invite code from the app. Codes work once and expire after an hour.

How alerts are split.

• Alternating: alerts take turns between caregivers.
• Schedule: one caregiver covers a set shift, then the next takes over.
• All Caregivers: every alert goes to every caregiver who is monitoring. With two caregivers the app shows this as Both Parents.
• Smart: turns heart rate and movement from each caregiver's Apple Watch into a wakeability score, then sends the alert to the one best placed to answer it. It needs iPhone with Apple Watch and is not available on Android.

Critical Alerts (iPhone). Turn these on so alerts can reach you when your phone is on silent or Focus.

Your Wi-Fi is the network your router creates inside your home. Your internet is the service your provider brings into the house. They can go out separately.

• Power or router off: like most baby monitors, Dozzi needs power and Wi-Fi to work, so no alerts can reach you. The Base picks back up on its own once both are back.
• Internet down, Wi-Fi on: the Base keeps listening and can still alert a phone on the same Wi-Fi while the Dozzi app is running. Alerts that travel over the internet pause until it returns, including alerts to a phone away from home and the Ring camera integration. Don't count on every alert during an internet outage.

When everything is back on, run Test My Alert Chain from the app.

The Dozzi Base has no camera. If you own a compatible Ring camera, you can link it to see live video and snapshots in the Dozzi app (and snapshots on Apple Watch).

1. Make sure the camera works in the Ring app.
2. In the Ring app, add Dozzi from the Ring App Store and choose your nursery camera.
3. Sign in to your Dozzi account on the page Ring opens.
4. In the Dozzi app, tap I've linked my Ring account in camera settings.

The integration costs $3.00 USD per month, billed through your Ring account (manage it under Ring My Apps). It needs an active internet connection. Ring video is handled under Ring's own terms and privacy policy. Disclosure: Dozzi Sleep Systems LLC has a commercial partnership with Ring and receives a share of the revenue from this integration. All crib-distance and cord rules apply to any camera in the nursery.

Apple Watch alerts not working: open the Dozzi app on your iPhone at least once since pairing the watch, check that Dozzi notifications are on for the watch, and keep the watch charged and in Bluetooth range of the phone.

Wear OS alerts not working: open Dozzi on the watch once and allow notifications, make sure your wake device in the phone app is set to your watch, and keep the watch charged, worn, and connected.

Ring video not loading: check the camera works in the Ring app and that you have internet. If Dozzi shows Reconnect needed, re-link Dozzi from the Ring app. Changing your Ring password may require this.

Base won't power on: check both ends of the cable and adapter, try another outlet, and inspect the cord. If it still won't start, contact support.

• Unplug before cleaning. Wipe the Base, cord, and adapter with a dry or slightly damp soft cloth. No liquids, sprays, abrasives, or solvents.
• Inspect the cord regularly for cuts, fraying, exposed wires, cracks, loose connectors, or discoloration. If you find damage, stop using it and contact us for a replacement cord. Do not repair it yourself.
• To turn the Base off, unplug the adapter. For long-term storage, keep it clean and dry, away from sunlight and extreme temperatures.

Dozzi Sleep Systems LLC warrants the Dozzi Base and its included accessories against defects in materials and workmanship under normal use for 1 year from the date of original purchase.

The warranty covers manufacturing defects only. It does not cover misuse, accidents, or modification; liquid, extreme temperature, or improper handling; cosmetic damage that does not affect function; cord or adapter damage from improper use, including extension cords; loss or theft; or third-party hardware such as Ring cameras.

To make a claim, email support@dozzisleep.com with your proof of purchase, the serial number on the bottom of your Base, and a description of the issue. We will repair, replace, or refund at our option. Returns and refunds: Refund Policy. This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may have other rights that vary by state or province.

The Base processes audio in your home to detect crying and sends small alert signals through Dozzi's cloud services; the audio stream never leaves the room. Personal data is governed by our Privacy Policy. Ring video, if you enable it, is handled by Ring under its own policies.

Use of the Dozzi Base, app, and cloud services is governed by the Terms of Service in effect at the time of use. Questions: support@dozzisleep.com.

The Base contains no battery. Dispose of the Base, cord, and adapter according to local electronic waste rules, not in household trash where prohibited.
